What are people's thoughts on implementing some form of the xeno restraint system mentioned in a recent suggestion as a way to bring marines back to the hive before infecting them? Tackle a host, restrain them so they can't run without a lot of resisting, and bring them back to an egg to get hugged. Granted, this would probably require xeno speed, attack, and nest buffs along with a possible nerf to bleeding damage from marines. I personally wouldn't mind a nest being impossible to escape from on your own if huggers only work from eggs. I don't have any experience playing as an alien, so I'm genuinely interested in what xeno players think of this kind of thing.
Would make infecting when attacking neigh impossible tough

It is far easier to hug a marine then drag them to the hive without any sort of retraint. Restraints are mostly useless, since in the time you could place them on someone you can nest the marine instead. I think tackling + grabbing + reinforce grabbing, then dragging to nest to infect is my favorite, lore friendly suggestion. Currently non-infected marines are easy pickings with stun + drag + nest combo. Infected marines, if they get out and have weapons or are otherwise supported by other marines, require some serious doing to restrain because aliens are surprisingly crappy at hand to hand combat. You can't stun infected marines with huggers, most tackles don't last that long enough to contain them unless you spam, and SS13 robust combat system isn't the best around to begin with. This is why I like tackling+grabbing. Movie aliens pretty much had you fucked if they managed to get a hold of you, guns or not, and this seems like a good alternative to hugger spam.

There are two issues with this though: Hugging a marine in the middle of combat takes them out of the fight for a decent amount of time while still allowing the xeno to fight on (possibly infecting more marines), and you can effectively use this tactic to force a marine retreat. This is a minor point though, since it can be overcome with new tactics, and xenos generally will drag hugged marines anyway instead of continuing to fight. Point being, there wouldn't be too much of a difference between hug-stunning marines versus grabbing them and then taking them to the hive. Except maybe skill required, which might the real issue. The other issue is that hugging right away speeds up the larva development, and you don't need to wait until the person is in the hive itself. Also a minor issue, since stuns last about 60 seconds, and you generally nest the victim during this time.

That means we need a new caste. Carrier is a face hugger machine...

I think this would be a great thing to try and might inject some new life/fun into xenos.
