Sounds great. Having a medical evac system would really help get marines back in the action so much faster.

I think the proposal is a good idea, I can forsee the problem of Marines using it to hot-drop soldiers into combat but I'm certain if that becomes a problem that the code can simply disallow more than one person to be on the shuttle as it launches.

Read it again, you can't go down on the planet, the shuttle stays on the "space" tiles and the roller bed teleports the wounded to the shuttle IN space.

It's an elevator with one way up, the only way this could be abused is by medics who want to go up quickly as a personal space van.

I think that the shuttle should be sent by overwatch just like the supple bacon and the big gun from spess bacon, this jas the advantage that the overwatch officer could quickly communicate with medbay to send a medic to the medivac shuttle

Also, a very important question: how would the shuttlw be called.

To be honest this would affect balancing ALOT. Your basically giving any competent doctor a way to stack abunch of fucks into a shuttle, which would probably be abused.
Not gonna lie this is a good Idea but it would be fucked the first day by squad medics and dumbfucks who would abuse it mark my words.

Please tell me how being able to move a mortally wounded marine faster than through the use of the shuttle is going to ruin the balance. One man will make it faster to Sulaco per beacon deployed. Boo hoo, aliens stand no chance.

I actually like this ... a lot. But if there is a lot of people and a death of doctors then it might require a dedicated pilot job, but then again the choice to use it or not could also serve for balance but overall +1

+1, a 5x5 ship that can't be used in the caves would be nice, Sl's should have 1 beacon to call it and it should have a "pilot" like an MP to protect the doctor.

+1, I just hope people don't start fighting over which wounded marine gets to sit on the magic bed.

I really like the idea! I don't know how that would affect ballance since marines will be able to heal up faster, but I guess we'll just have to see, if this gets implemented that is.

+1 for reasons above. As long as there are rules in place preventing the 'stacking' of bodies.

+1, I like this idea and it would be better for medic when they are attacking and have no time to go all the way back to the shuttle to get dying marines back on the Sulaco

not really no.To use it for evac there would have to be 3 or less marines on the ground, one of them being a medic and a doctor who can take it down.as for the space van. They could add a cooldown on it to make sure this doesent happen.

+1 this would help marines get back quick when a rav slices off their foot, a crusher runs over them or they get slashed by multiple xenos at once(don't ask me how they would live through most of the things I just mentioned)

I could see, literal STACKS of marines in this shuttle, laying down to deploy.

Rules against it? Warnings over OOC? I can see that as a repellent for this. And, considering I'd most likely be the pilot or crewmember, marines using this to deploy would be paralysed and thrown into a labeled bodybag until I had time to deal with them.

Looks like I forgot to add that to exceptions :P
You cannot move down the line from the shuttle, only up and if you are secured by a person. Maximum amount of people on board is 3 + 1 doctor. That way, it cannot be used as a retreat shuttle, assault shuttle or anything not medical related.

I feel like this will be balanced if aliens can hijack the shuttle when the marines that set down the beacon are killed.
