When a SM is going critical, it is normal for players to eject the core. However, due to the emptiness of space and objects traversing Z-levels at the edges, the ejected SM core will drift and end up in unpredictable places. I propose to stop the ejected core from drifting away from the same Z-level as its origin (Upper Deck Sulaco).
Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):
1. Eliminate unexpected and unwarranted damage on a separate unrelated Z-level.
2. Makes recovery of SM core possible, if it was panic ejected or an accident, instead of ordering a new one.
Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):
This means that if SM has gone critical as a result of an incompetent CE or MT, ejecting the core would definitely be a safe option. Currently, this is not 100% safe.
Engineering gone haywire > SM core ejected:
There is sufficient space to the Aft of Sulaco's ejection port. Perhaps add a small rock or asteroid block directly in the path of the ejected SM core, so it prevents it from traversing to another Z-level. However, the SM explosion radius has to be taken into account, so if the SM explodes, the damage is still out of range of Sulaco.
