Survivor buff

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary):Survivors sorely need a buff of some sort fo high pop rounds.

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):Right now on a high pop round surviving by any means other than sitting in a locker is pretty damn near impossible, you have nearly a dozen aliens patrolling for at best 3 survivors with two rifles. Most people seem to steer clear of survivor all together on high pop rounds as it's not really fun to play doomed alien food

Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc): This thread is more to talk about ideas,so far I'm thinking maybe one or two more rifles in general and one or two more survivors on high pop rounds. Extra rifles shouldn't pose a huge problem on low pop rounds,even a rambo survivor rushing the queen won't be immensely more powerful because he has a few extra bullets.

Do you have to put everything underlined?

And yes there will be the survivor update-sih thing some day.

Well, It is "survival" They should actually have to struggle to survive. And it isn't all that hard to do it, believe it or not. Some buildings, are just great areas to hold up in. plenty of metal around to wall off with girders. Theres also the way of the cave-man, and digging your own personal fort in the caves.

Kinda feel like a -1

I'm against giving survivors more guns, there's a reason the difficulty is listed as "Impossible" on the wiki. Xenos should hunt down survivors, not vice versa.

When the rounds are 80+ it is simply no longer a hunt just a massacre the only chance of escaping is locker camping. The extra rifles will be near useless on lower pop rounds and marines will still have very limited ammo as the addition is only two more rifles,so I seriously doubt they will be going on the offensive. Personally I think survivors should be armed just well enough to make them less of a target compared to the monkeys.

Going to have to go with a -1. Yes, it would be nice to feel safer as a survivor with a few extra guns, but survivors are never safe. You just have to use your abilities the best you can to either hide in a locker, wall yourself in a dome, or go on a offensive with what you have. I believe the survivors are fine how they are right now. They shouldn't be able to slaughter xenos.

Also, you can get mines and a flamer (I think) from sec storage, so its pretty easy to survive as a survivor once you have those.

I think the survivor role in general needs a rethink on top of a rebalance. Your role is seemingly to survive long enough to inform the landing marine party of the aliens, but if you do and they listen to you, everyone gets yelled at for metagaming lol.

I can see the reasoning behind the suggestion, though, aliens always seem to home in on survivors, COUGHCOUGHACKHEM.

I'm not sure where you people are getting that this will put them anywhere near the level to toe-to-toe the aliens. What I'm saying is why are there the same amount of survivors in a fairly low pop round to a high pop round? If the aliens scale up,why not the survivors, there being 2 more survivors when the aliens have 4 or 5 more doesn't seem like it would cause any sort of major offset.

We don't need a ton of survivors and they are fine the way they are. Their strength lies in the fact that they survived a xeno attack and live to tell about it. You don't need any damn marine rifles or a whole squad of survivors, just a sprinkle of em. Hide in a damn locker somewhere away from the nexus on highpop and wait until you hear help arrive.

Survivors received an upgrade from when this was posted. And the gun system was changed. Resolved.
