Yeah.. No to most of the jobs.
People don't understand that this is MILITARY role play.
Although general fluff jobs like Advisor, Weaponsmith, Etc. Are fun to add...
Suddenly 2/3 of the station are useless jobs, and the rest are actually legit marines doing all the fighting.
We really don't need new special jobs. Do that in a different server. All we need is :
Marine, Doctors, Engineers, MP and some good ol command. IMO if the job doesn't DIRECTLY relate to healing, building, fighting, policing, or commanding, WE DO NOT NEED IT TO FUNCTION
For future reference to anyone planing to suggest a new occupation, ask yourself the question before you suggest it: DO WE REALLY NEED IT, OR DO I JUST WANT A NEW JOB ADDED?
Sorry to break dreams of people wanting to add in advanced fluff jobs, but that's military society for ya. You contribute directly or you get out

Yeh, I see there are not a lot of disscusion around here, but in-game most of people agree that Marines are underpowerd at the moment. Aliens win most rounds and it's beacuse when Queen is not newbie, then all she have to do is make a camp and then aliens always win. You can't stop them or fight them. They are way stronger then your weapons and unless they go and try 1v5 they always have an upperhand. And why they can throw facehuggers just like that which makes me suddenly lose my helmet. Or just walk up and knock you out in one hit after you placed whole magazine in their head.
It's great serv for Roleplay as Marine, but balance is very bad. I realize that you go for the version where Alien is superior in every way, but that makes gameplay very unhealthy. Humans should have some chances and not only hope that next Queen will be a newbie.

There's not alot of discussion, becuase our forums recently exploded.
Marines received a HEFTY buff not too long ago, with the weapon rebalance.
Also, they can't throw facehuggers, but perhaps, i might need to rebalance health again.
Give me a weekend to run some tests and math.

Yesterday I seen Alien Queen and Ravanger holding off vs two marine squads alone. After 15 min of fighting they even completly destroyed those squads. 2 Aliens won entire round by themself to be honest.
Now try tell me that isn't broken :P

One or two awesome players, will ALWAYS be able to rock a group. For example, that one day, the SINGLE HUNTER took out 10+ marines because the marines were being stupid with their tactics.
The thing is, I am still making minor balance adjustments to the aliens, but remember that, they will ALWAYS BE MORE POWERFUL THAN HUMANS.
There will NEVER be a perfect balance, because I don't WANT a perfect balance. It SHOULD lean towards aliens, they are KILLING MACHINES.
Thus, the advantage marines have, is numbers and tactics. Anytime you engage the aliens, you should be expecting to lose at least one person from your squad.
That being said, I am closing the gap between the aliens and marines, since they aliens are a big more OP than I want.
