larger supermatter explosion/ multiple explosions

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary):make sm explosions larger or have multiple in a series to possibly reduce lag

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):more risk to supermatter,

Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):basically a larger explosion or series of explosions if possible

Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it):change the values i presume for the larger one, some serious coding for the other

multiple smaller explosions radiating outward over a few seconds of time "could" reduce lag by spreading out the explosion over time instead of all at once, dont know how it would get coded but "could: reduce the lag, and bigger explosions would allow the supermatter to actually do real damage by removing pods and cargo, giving more reason for engineers to not make the mistake of blowing it up

Considering we use ZAS I'm not 100% sold on the idea that multiple small explosions would reduce lag.

it wouldn't reduce it. I ain't a coder but it just seems like splitting, for example, a 45s lag into 3x15 with the 2-3s inbetween each. Why?

If we had more dedicated engineers I would love this. It's a ship core and exploding should be CATASTROPHIC... that being said an exploded SM is a loss for the marines, and the lag it would cost isn't worth the cool effect.

Fun fact, smaller explosions in a series would be a lot more effective against mitigating lag than the massive one we currently have.

+1 for the multiple explosions. The SM mainly only destroys engineering and some floor tiles of Cargo, I'd rather not see the SM blast radius get bigger. But multiple explosions, sure, why not? Less lag mang.

-1. Have you SEEN the SM radius? It reaches barely to the caf/prep area, and that's the RADIUS, not diameter.

The SM is THE most destructive weapon available to 'rines. I would know.

It lags like ** due to the fact they're massive. Making the SM 10 of those owuld make the server more responsive.
CM was obviously inspired by Starcraft: Ghost opening. At least when marines takes too long to deploy.
