Hivelord Acid

Post by Reznoriam » 01 Feb 2016, 14:14

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary):
I would like to see the hivelord retain the weak acid ability of the drone.

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):
The hivelord is primarily a building focused caste. In some cases during construction acid comes in really handy. For example, the only way to remove alien nests currently is with acid and since the hivelord is in the hive it can also be removing junk laying around.

Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):
Yay acid

Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it):

Well, if this will be weak acid of drone, then why not? It's really needed sometimes. I like this, +1

Hivelord is basically an upgraded drone, i've always thought it was weird they lost it, giving them weak acid is perfectly acceptable IMO.

If not grant them acid, give them SOME way to remove the nests, because it's really annoying when you have a nice pattern going on, and then you fuck up and can't remove it.

+1 for 'weak acid' because it makes the Hivelord able to get rid of poorly positioned resin nests and also gives them a tiny buff if they're ever in a front-line siege situation.

I see nothing wrong with this. Hivelords are like discount queens, anyway.

This may change with the xeno update.

But thinking though, is that they lose the acid sack, for the silly level of plasma they gain.

This just has to do with the OCD in me. If I'm a hivelord and building it up all the little crap laying around the hive starts to get on my nerves. Bullet casings, guns, broken helmets. Reeeeeee

If that's the case, I'd suggest some way of having a hivelord being able to remove nests, because theirs nothing more aggravating then having a pattern going, and one misclick fucks it ALL up.

For gameplay this would be nice though.

The ability to clear up the hive by melting items, such as weapons, would be useful.

I agree with this suggestion. Seems like an oversight to me.
