Makes no sense hand scanners don't even detect metal inside the bodyEgorkor wrote:because advanced scanners are used for this.

Health scanner does not pick up some things which is why there is a advanced body scanner since i am not really sure how would health scanner pick up your eye damage tbh, although it does if you have large enough brain damage pick it up, also be aware, for some reason, if the damage is really high, chemicals may not even fix eye damage and you have to do surgery, this also can happen with bones, as i had to wait for a guy with like 40-50 brute damage in the head to get down to 20 something, every time i tried to fix it, would just break again.

Health scanners pick up bone fractures just not the location. Allowing health scanners to detect generic organ and generic shrapnel damage would be fine so long as it doesn't reveal the location. +1

The point of the analyser is to allow someone to stabalise the paitent, and decide if they need to go to medbay. If someone is blind, they will be able to say so and a trip to medbay is obviously required. Shrapnel is a bit more difficult though.

A hand held health scanner should be used for like combat medic's who's job is not to fix your eyes or do surgery to bull that shrapnel out but rather to stabilize you and throw you on the ship back too someone who can. I disagree with this bug.

This is how you use the Analyzer:
1) Use it.
2) Apply necessary healing chems/items.
3) Make sure they're stable enough that they aren't going to die.
4) Put them into the advanced scanner.
5) Fix whatever the scanner says is wrong.
6) Put them in the scanner, just to make sure everything's fixed.
7) Let them leave. Move on to the next patient.
Analyzers are there so you can ensure that the patient isn't going to die. It picks up on brain damage (if there's enough), genetic damage, infections, fractures (doesn't say where though), blood level (not enough blood = suffocation), patient's temperature (if it's too high, they have an infection), what chemicals are in their blood and how much, and if they're ODing, and then the normal oxy/brute/toxins/burns. And internal bleeding.
That leaves organ damage (if they're coughing up blood or have oxy damage that won't go away and they have a good blood level, it's lung/heart damage), eye damage, and very minor brain damage, shrapnel, and the locations of fractures and the severity of infections.
It's not a bug, as many have said. It's just a balancing thing so docs have to actually do something to treat patients.
