Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): create a system that allows you to consolodate half empty mags and powerpacks by clicking one with the other to transfer ammo

Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc): click on one mag with other mag, mag 1 transfers ammo 2 mag 2, if mag 2 is then full, remaining ammo remains in mag 1

I like the sound of it. However, I do question how many marines would bother with it. Makes sense regardless, so I am in favor of it.

+1 from me, since it would allow marines to do tactical reloads instead of just hoping they don't run mid fight and/or have to stock extra ammo mags to ensure that doesn't happen.

+1, I hate not going into a fight with a full magazine, but carrying around a bunch of half empty magazines because "well, there's still ammo in them" seems a less sensible option than just being able to consolidate the rounds into one mag.

Because you can do that IRL.
Toploading magazines in combat is a complete bitch (I would know, I've had to do it). Either fire till your empty, or change your mag before you are.
