Bug Description:
When using the scout rifle, zooming with the scope causes mobs to render before their cover. This gives away the location of Runners hiding behind objects. Combined with the high power of the scout rifle, this turns the rifle into a t3 killer into an all-seeing one shot killer.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Have Runner hide (behind barricade, for example)
2. Zoom in to area in which runner is hiding.
3. See Runner, and enjoy tasty roasted Runner leg.

This is probably a BYOND issue, and I doubt we'll see it fixed, but here's hoping.

I doubt it, it only persists for a second or two. If it was a feature it'd likely stick around.
It probably also works on binoculars, as they implement the same zoom.

Yea, I can confirm this can happen. In that short instant when your screen refreshes to the new zoomed view, the rendering allows me to spot things I normally couldn't see. Happened to me using the binoculars too, when I was able to glance the silhouette of an alien in the darkness for a very short instant.

It's a byond bug and I doubt it can be fixed.
