That's strange. It increased firing speed before.

Re: Quickfire only increases firing speed on the revolver.
It's probably more noticeable in the Magnum revolver since it has a slow re-firing rate to begin with.
You might need to spam click a lot faster with the M41 or SMG to see the quickfire benefits? I should test this out myself some time...

That's because the quickfire was meant for all of our cowboys...

Well I tested it, and apparently I can't spam click fast enough to see any noticeable improvement for the M41, M4A3 or SMG, perhaps because they already fire very fast without attachments. Maybe it's bottlenecked by the usual server lag anyway, where you have to click multiple times to get stuff done because the server can't keep up for reasons.

Can't be, get a service pistol without attachments and shoot with it, the firing speed is higher than the m41 or smg and that should be the firing speed of the m41 or smg with the quickfire.ZDashe wrote:Well I tested it, and apparently I can't spam click fast enough to see any noticeable improvement for the M41, M4A3 or SMG, perhaps because they already fire very fast without attachments. Re: Quickfire only increases firing speed on the revolver.
The M4A3 indeed fires faster than the M41 or SMG unmodded, but after attaching quickfire, the improvement is negligible at best. Try it out yourself.
Edit: If you reduce recoil, you can fire slightly faster since there's no screenshake to impede your clicking. It might be different for different players depending on how their client handles the lag.
A simple test: If you can manage to fire 2 SMGs (one in each hand) faster than you can fire 1 SMG via spamming, then yes your BYOND can support a faster firing rate due to quickfire mod.

Will be fixed with Abby's upcoming projectile rewrite.
