Game confuses Alien hands?

Bug Description: I am not sure if this is for every alien caste or just praetorian, but for some reason, when you try to tackle a already infected person who is trying to kill you and you try using your empty hand, the game for some reason will use the other hand which has the hugger and try to attach it

Steps to reproduce:
1. Be Alien (or praet, again not sure who is affected by this)
2. Have a host try escape, switch to your empty hand to tackle, have a hugger in the other hand
3. Watch in confusion as you can't tackle them and keep seeing messages that you try to attach a hugger

This uh, isn't a bug. You just messed up, chose the wrong hand, and started slapping a marine silly with a facehugger. See, bugs are uh.. code-based errors, not player-based errors.

This is a bug, I've felt the pain as a ravager and I assume it's true for all castes, however iirc your steps to reproduce are flawed. It may or may not have something to do with picking up facehuggers in the wrong hand, or disconnecting or something.

Try narrowing down the circumstances more, or doublechecking that this is actually how the bug works.

I did not dissonect, i picked up a hugger with the left hand, then switched to the right hand when a host started to get out to tackle them, but it did not work, only trying to place a hugger, i tried to even drop and then after that tackle, still nothing

Preety sure i would have noticed that i had my wrong hand selected, i even looked at my hands and the right one was selected, if it was truly my error i would have not reported this

Give me some CLEAR re-creation steps and I'll look into it.

Not sure how to make it CLEAR, as far as i know i was a praet in the caves, weed around me and emitting recovery pheromones i belive, then 2 hosts freed each other, i took down one fine, pulled him into the nest, then the other guy walked up to the nest(aka standing on same tile as his buddy and nest) and try's to knife me, tackle him and nest him, the other guy who i already tackled before goes up and i try to tackle him but instead it try's to hug him (did not spot it until third attempt to attach a hugger) and he knifes me until it sticks in my wound, then he pulls out a shotgun and kills me

Thats as far as i know, so i can't exactly give you clear re-creation steps unfortunately, so yeah... this is probably gonna be locked >_>

But more on the point, are you /positive/ it was a glitch? Did you use hotkeys, or manually click to switch hands?

Preety positive it was a glitch, i used hotkeys at first, then swapped manually after spotting i am not tackling, still to not avail as i go RIP
