Job Change Rule
Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): So..This new job change rule. I, honestly don't see the point of it. All you need to do to free the job slot is delete their record VIA console and it frees it. Why disallow people to change squads, especially standards? It has always been allowed, even since pre-alpha. Why start disallowing it now? Remove the rule altogether, really. This especially hurts things if medical is low on medical, MP's are actually needed, or bridge staff is needed. I see no possible benefits for this rule whatsoever seeing as there has never been a problem before.
Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): Fix balance issues before they start happening.
Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc): Remove the rule.
Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it): Deleting a line of text.

Move thread to LOCKED and RESOLVED/DENIED?
OP has suggested to lock down the thread and is satisfied with the conclusion

But seriously, does uh, anyone know the way out?!

Re: Job Change Rule
Marine rule 8 is pretty much an anti-job change rule albeit it's due to how the ID system works.

Re: Job Change Rule
Code: Select all
ID Rules: - Because of how IDs work, you are permitted ONLY to demote someone and remove their access. Changing IDs any other way (increasing access, changing job titles, making all-access) may result in a JOB BAN. IDs work very specifically with our assignment system, and changing them around screws with it. DO NOT MESS WITH AN ID UNLESS YOU ARE REMOVING ACCESS. No job changes, no title changes. Squad reassignment is ok for STANDARDS ONLY. You may not reassign anyone that is not a standard.
