Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary):A marine can currently kill a alien in around 3 seconds while in its stomach, Maybe add a 1-3 second cool down between the resist damage caused. Not a large one, still enough to be a threat just not to instantly kill the alien.

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): Marines cannot near instantly kill aliens in there stomach.

Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):A small cool down of a few seconds between the damage caused by a marine resisting in the aliens stomach.

Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it): Add a cool down. Sorry not much of a coder.

Considering I had to wait out the hugger stun and was at flashing red health from the stomach acid when I pulled out the knife and gibbed you, it's pretty fair. It's your fault you didn't regurgitate fast enough. And you need a sharp object to gib.

devouring is a gamble, you're either fast or you're dead.
there's also plenty of time to regurgitate, since you know when it has to be done (roughly).

-1. If I'm gunna wait out a ridiculously long hugger stun and get near crittes from stomach acid damage, you're absolutely right I'm going to want to bust out of an alien ASAP. Regurgitate is a thing, if you do anything other than go straight to the nearest nest you shouldn't be taking the risk.

You need to use a sharp object as stated, and do it really quckly, because it still takes time to gib a xeno, and most players who are robust will already regurgiated you out, heck, most aliens don't even use it all that much, me included

Devour + tunnel is so unfair though, you're immediately at the hive. Aliens should be "too fat" to tunnel crawl with marines in their bellies.

The whole idea of devouring is in many aspects tunnel-based. No need to artificially limit this.
If the "full" alien is actively pursued by marines they will possibly shoot her full of bullets during the getting into the tunnel anyway.
If not- bad luck, dont be surrounded by marines who cant cover you.

If an alien has time to devour you 1) you were probably too far from your friends anyway and theres no dangers or 2) the marines were too stupid to shoot the alien that got you and will most certainly not chase it to a tunnel anyway. Anyway, any alien that tries to escape through a tunnel while being chased should be killed for even attempting it.

As for the suggestion, I'd support a short cooldown, cause once the stun wears off you literally have like 3 seconds til death, and there's literally no warning beforehand. I actually NEVER use this mechanic, ever, because it's certain death if you miscounted by 2 seconds.
