Going to point out, walking is the ss13 equivalent to sneaking.... so replace walk with sneak, and suddenly, that sounds like a guide rather than a bug.
You are ready to break free of the nest, but your limbs are still secured. Resist once more to pop up, then resist again to break your limbs free!
You pull yourself free from the nest!

Re: Huggers won't jump on walking marine
This is intentional. Facehuggers only attack once you:
1. Step onto an adjacent tile.
2. Move anywhere else, even away from the facehugger.
Attempts to change this led to the teleporting hugger phenomenon, where marines who accidentally triggered eggs would move away before the facehugger exited only to have the facehugger attach to them from 2-5 tiles away. What happened when the marine triggered more eggs than were needed to break face protection and attach to them was even worse. When that happened, the facehuggers would select the nearest marine to that person and attack them, too, even if they were a screen away.

The problem is that it doesn't attach to marines that step on an adjacent tile.

They do, actually, unless its a freshly opened egg. WHICH was intended(I believe) as it was easily abusable for an alien to push a marine through a field of eggs and have them intsant hugged with no chance of not getting hugged. It also caused a ton of lag to have fifty eggs open at once when a marine ran through an egg field..outordinary wrote:The problem is that it doesn't attach to marines that step on an adjacent tile.

I'm not sure what I saw during the round I played, but I'm pretty sure it was a few marines walking right up to a hugger and crushing it without it hopping onto them.

It could of been one of the huggers that was recently used, but did not attach itself, e.g Marine had a perfectly fine helmet and walked by a hugger, the hugger does not die but instead it is 'stunned', it does not attack anyone for a while after that.
