SL Helmet Cam Attachment

Post by Sebro » 05 Apr 2016, 17:10

Summary: Rather than having a very specific helmet have the helmet cam, make it an attachment to any headpiece, akin to how we have
weapon attachments.

Benefits: Well, how else are we gonna use the USCM Cap, or the beret, without the BO yelling at us? It's just so that there's additional ways to look like a BADASS.

Details: Make it sort of like an attachment?

Implementation: Attachable. Helmet. Cams.

Don't think you can attach a camera to a beret buddy, neutral.

I guess that the dev team used the real life approach that the modern millitary uses, they put cams on the helmets of some marines so the camera moves where the marine is looking instead of being stationary on the armor.

True, cops use bodycams sometimes though.

Sounds like a coding nightmare.

I would like RO to be able to order helmet cams in case Command wants to keep an eye on an entire squad or certain marines, but that does sound like a coding hellhole. Neutral.

don't think the command team will be able to handle the overwatch for more than 4 squad leaders unless we add more slots fos bridge officers and more consoles for them to see at the cameras.

That's fair, I'd hate to be the BO keeping watch on 15 different marines.
