Instead of feigning death, why not:
- Constant, slight invisibility (somewhat transparent, but not to the level of a hunter's stalk ability)
- Lash ability replacing pounce (tail whips out and stabs an opening into a marine's helmet, causing damage equal to 1 hugger)

So we're making hunters as fast as runners now?
The Lurker Xenomorph is regarded by some as the perfect hybrid between a Warrior and a Runner. It almost has the same speed and prowess as a Runner does, mixed with the strength of a Warrior, which allows it to easily knock down Marine opponents.
This seriously seems over-powered.

Oho. But I am an alien player myself. And I imagine a hive of super-OP warrior-runner hybrids fucking over the entire damn server. At least the "Saltdar" is limited to one person, and has limited ammo, whilst the lurker can just fucking zoidberg out of a fire fight and avoid dying completely.

Also most of their moves take a lot of plasma. U gotta use lurker wisely.

Limited to one person? What if the Salt-DAR user gets captured and leaves the weapon there. Urist McMarine can load and fire it without any problems. Limited to one person, no.

There was even a vote between getting a new map or keeping the salt-DAR, new map won. Everyone's either forgotten or ignored that vote, but by rights the salt-DAR shouldn't even exist!

[*]Already a massive balance issue. The reason why runner and hunter are separate is because it forces you to choose between speed and rush tactics or strength and stealth tactics. Lurker, by yours and wikis definition, is runner + hunter +higher HP+ new ability <<Big balance problem

- It prefers to work solo
[*] That never works well for anyone, and neither of their skills will help them with working solo. Maybe just high HP, but nothing more.

- It can fake death, which when activated, drains plasma rapidly (lasts for 10 seconds)
[*] MASSIVE Metagaming problem. Not only will marines stab the living shit out of every "dead" lurker they see (or everything that looks like a warrior), I really see no tactical benefits of it. Marines are mostly in groups, what will you do it you pop out in the middle of them? How will them being invulnerable to any damage while faking it, marines will just stay on top of it and know that if it doesn't pop up in few seconds, it is truly dead. It is very poorly thought of, and I honestly can't think of any way to make this ability non-metagamy, and I doubt anyone else can.

- They can hide inside resin walls
[*] Interesting idea, but again, not really explained at all how it would work. Judging by how many resin walls there are in a hive, finding lurkers will be impossible. Plasma usage might help with that issue. What about other issues that will come up with this? Can they attack while hidden? Can they jump at someone? For how long can they hide on the wall?

Again, -1 from me. It is a poorly formatted and poorly thought out suggestion (Don't get me wrong, nearly 90% of all suggestions are very badly presented :I ), which doesn't really cover any issues that may come out if they are added (Not at the beginning, at least, and most of new suggestions to help resolve it aren't helpful either).

Using excuses to implement this OP caste, based only how other things appear OP is also not very helpful (SADAR comment). Joshuu posted a very funny message on Slack that very much describes your SADAR comment:

You don't add OP things to combat other OP things.

I would like to see a new alien class inside the game, but seeing how many this suggestion has flaws, I highly doubt that this one will be accepted. Get it fixed up, or try to re balance it in other ways.

First of all. Urist McMarine is a typical strawman, since anyone can load a smartgun and fire it without any problems. Any marine can wear B18 armour, doesn't mean it's actually allowed.
I'd also like to ask you not to ignore my other point. Which is a hunter as fast as a warrior, slashing and what-not does NOT require plasma, all you're doing is shitting up balance.

Actually, nobody but specialists and command are allowed to use or load the smartgun. It's a rule, you don't have training to use the advanced electronical system inside of the gun, it's not a simple point and shoot.

However I am -1 on the Lurker idea because merging castes is not a solution to get new castes. More of the old in a new combination =/= new.

If it had the ability to scope in like a boiler, had the speed of a hunter, and had invisibility but no ability to use face huggers / no pounce, then this would be the ideal scouting unit for the xenomorphs and would actually have a use besides being another worse version of the hunter caste.

Perfect for learning what the marines are doing / enemy positions so that the other castes are informed on where to move / ambush from, but would only be able to run away if it ran into a marine. It'd be a T2 evolution, so you wouldn't be using a T3 slot to scout and can have multiple scouts surrounding say the marine FOB.

But yeah, the original suggestion sucked tbh.

I'm going with denied. There are issues with the caste that would need to be resolved, and we just don't have the time to tinker with something like that. It would be far more important to fix or improve the aliens we have now.
