-1 the reason is that aliens always break through. Also most of the time the aliens come up a lot quicker than the marines are prepped for and all the marines run away up the ladders anyway.

Now on the upper deck now that's a different story. I would be fine minimizing the building limit on the upper deck because marines just block off the ladders with electric grills and make major kill boxes. The only way aliens would get pass is either the marines built terrible defenses or marines aren't watching the ladders and the aliens just melt the grills. So less defenses on the upper deck is a +1 for me
