Summary:
Basically replace the space tiles around the Prison map to be snow tiles mixed in with rocks and such.
Benefits:
Would open up new paths for both sides to use. Also would cause more of the map to be used.
Details:
The problem is that in the prison station about 50% of the station is unused. This stemms from the fact that the west and east wings are completely useless. Not to mention most of the time a assault on the hive or on the marines ends up being a full frontal assault that is extremely predictable. Changing the environment outside the prison to snow with added rocks/terrain to break up some of the monotony of it would vastly improve the ability to flank the enemy. Not to mention that there would no longer be problems with breaching, SADARs, and grenades. Also if we wanted to make the outside xeno friendly, possibly add a system that causes hypothermia or the massive temperature drop for going outside causes the standard slowdown in the code, which would make flanking for the marines a risky but massively rewarding prospect. While the xenos run the risk of not having weeds/healing outside but would be more than capable of moving at normal speed and catching the jump on the marines outside or even flanking the marines around the LZ.
Implementation:
Changing the tile. Adding some terrain on the map by scattering rocks and possibly adding some rocks along the outside of the map and possibly around the crashed shuttle to prevent marine instant surprise rush.

i like that idea its interesting and would be a nice change but i can also see a lot of work and issues
