Bug Description:
The M39 SMG description text (that show up by shift-clicking the weapon) is exacly this:
"This is a M39 SMG. It is a bulky item.
Armat Battlefield Systems M39 SMG. Occasionally carried by light-infantry, scouts or non-combat personnel. Uses 9mm rounds. Has 35 rounds remaining."
But players in roles that can be described precisely as non-combat personnel (doctors, CMO, liaison, maintenance technicians, cargo technician, bridge officer, and the like), if using this gun, may receive a warning from admins for not doing so.
(Not actually a bug, but a mismatch between a description and a rule.)
Steps to reproduce:
1. Get into any role that isn't a marine or marine analogue.
2. Grab this gun for defending against an alien incursion on sulaco.
3. If there are admins, you may receive a warning.
Suggestion for fixing the bug:
Use the correct military terminology in that description.
One that matches what is actually intended on the rules.
"Non-combat personnel"?
Means, in real life, "everyone not intended to be directly involved in the conflicts but who is part of the institution or crew".
Change that to anything else. "Paratroopers" would be adequated and innofensive.
While "squad leaders" would match not only the rules and game mechanics, but also would be historically accurated.
Or just deleting this part of the text would do the trick.
M39 Submachinegun description text isn't adequated to rules.

Re: M39 Submachinegun description text isn't adequated to rules.
Why M39 when you can M4a1, just kidding.
Indeed the description is a bit off addressing "non-combatant" personal. Maybe more accurate to say civilians or crew member. However, MP usually prefer the shotgun, except for some. So leaving it to "scouts and engineers" sound legitimate.
Stay Safe.
