SM core ejection confirmation box.

Post by DesFrSpace » 21 Apr 2016, 20:57

Main Idea:
Code a pop up confirmation box that does require clicking on option to eject the SM core with a bit NO and a small Red text YES.

Reason

Why? SM ejection is bound to happen, would appreciate it if the CE's Office get blocking safety mechanic for the cases where SM core is not needed to be ejected.

EDIT: Following up Apophis775's reply, so I figure this was another attempt, next time CE is played, time to make some obstacle blocking access.

There is no reason in even touching it if the core is allright but how easy it is to code a box to pop up is good so +1
The FitnessGram™ Pacer Test is a multistage aerobic capacity test that progressively gets more difficult as it continues. The 20 meter pacer test will begin in 30 seconds. Line up at the start. The running speed starts slowly, but gets faster each minute after you hear this signal. [beep] A single lap should be completed each time you hear this sound. [ding] Remember to run in a straight line, and run as long as possible. The second time you fail to complete a lap before the sound, your test is over. The test will begin on the word start. On your mark, get ready, start.

Because you should just pay attention.

It's not like you can accidentally click the button isolated by itself on a square surrounded by caution lines.

Honestly, the SM Ejection Button should be inside the CE's office, like it is on every other Station.

With a reinforced windoor preventing access to the EJECTION button.yes it is like that. As a CE, I did end up having to create fake wall, though you can still the wall mounted object behind the fake wall (not reinforced).

I agree with the common sense law, but as it is currently any schmuck can eject the engine. Either give it a locked box or put it in the CE's office.

I feel like the SM Ejection button needs to be behind a glass window so you have to physically break glass to get access to it.

This. There needs to be NO PHYSICAL WAY to do it on accident.

Personally, I think there should be maybe an overwrite for the CE in their office and Alert message that the eject is pressed, that way the CE can atleast deny someone griefing the server by ejecting the core. Or better still MAKE the fucking SM Monitor alert hearable on the Sulaco

The SM ejection is now behind a glass pane which you have to break to reach it.
