It's mildly annoying having to unbuckle myself to lower my mask.

Buckled into what? Chairs? Nests?
Why does it matter if you can't lower your mask while buckled? In what situation is it necessary to lower/raise your mask repeatedly?

More information, also, if your buckled and cuffed, you shouldn't be able to adjust the mask...
