Adding back the use scope verb
Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): Before I talk about this, I like the attachment GUI that was added, and it helps with a bunch of other things than scopes. I've just had problems with having to click that button again and again to use my scope instead of clicking the use scope verb that used to be in the tabs on the top right. The main problem I am having with the scope on the attachment GUI is on certain occurrences, I try to click on the use attachment verb only to mis-click and shoot my sniper into a wall or into another person.
Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): Would allow snipers to be able to zoom out quicker. Also prevent people from shooting players or anything else accidentally. Overall a bit of a more quick way to scope with only having to click once to scope in instead of having to click twice.
Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc): re-add the use scope verb on the top right, that's about it.
Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it): Implementing it into the top right tabs and being able to use that, while still keeping the GUI.
I don't know, this has bugged me since I've started using it, I don't know if anyone else feels the same way as me but I would like to know.

Yeah, scope is really that one thing, that became VERY uncomfortable to use with attachments update.

I think a decent way to resolve this is to have the weapon default to an attachment if only one of them requires activation. In plainspeak, if you only have a scope attached, when you click load from attachment it would immediately select the scope without going into the menu.

+1 Usually ignore scopes or snipers as of late due to having to toggle scope so weirdly which is hard in panicked situations. Put mah scope back in the Weapon verb!

\\N has the right of it. If you have multiple attachments, the menu should appear for sure, but when it's just the one there is no need.

Re: Adding back the use scope verb
Having a separate scope verb also allows for macro'ing it to a hotkey which may be more convenient for some players.

Re: Adding back the use scope verb
Well, idea with single attachment good too, because, when I get weapon with scope - M42C or M41AM Marksman, I put bipod on it for maximum accurancy, so it doesn't have any other activating attachments. So, this should work just fine.Arachnidnexus wrote:Having a separate scope verb also allows for macro'ing it to a hotkey which may be more convenient for some players.

+1, I agree. When I do play spec, which is not that often I normally opt for the M42C. The lack of a use scope verb has really fucked me over on multiple occasions.
