Bug Description:
**** fires the M41A Pulse Rifle (Wielded) point blank at Unknown!
**** fires the M41A Pulse Rifle (Wielded)!
Unknown blocks the rifle bullet with the Yautja Combi-Stick!

Steps to reproduce:
1. Be Pred/shoot at pred/pickup combistick
2. Watch bullets flying at supersonic speed be blocked
3. Profit

Yes, the plasma rifle does. Which you can get out in seconds.

Said bullets are only used by humans, and from my recent rounds, i seen people never grab the machette anymore, or 1-2 guys come up and ask for it, and that's kind of it, nobody really cares about it anymore that much, also why the fuck would you have a faction that is not balanced to be fair?

Anyway, i reported in what IMHO is a bug.
As Feweh was the one using this 'bug' recently and is obviously not impartial, its possibly best if an actual coder comes and sees it.

This is not a bug. And is fully intentional. The pred has to pick it using one of their limited gear slots. It's essentially a riot shield that they can beat you over the head with

Also works as a spear. You can throw it and it'll get stuck in them sometimes and do some decent damage.

Last four times I did that I lost my face to a plasma caster.
The fifth time I've met a pred going back from today was Gel. I miss you Gel.

Blocking bullets with a melee weapon just sounds like a holdover from baycode/eswords. +1

Well I was there the day Abby implemented everything and she said specifically that she was making the combi stick block bullets so that predators have a riot shield of their own. However, she didn't implement them to be able to be used with the caster and that seems more of the player needing talked to over the item.

According to this wiki (http://avp.wikia.com/wiki/Combistick#cite_note-P2-3) the combistick has been proven to be able to block bullets. Still, we could change it to fit our needs as a server.

Even if it can block bullets, the fact that it can block bullets from a direction you're not even facing is fucking retarded; same with all melee weapons that have this property.

I've made some changes to the way shields will work with bullets. The combistick will keep this effect, but you will from henceforth need to face the projectile to block it. I'll likely adjust it further once it goes live.
