Considering i can dump 2 mags into a DRONE and it still be able to one hit disarm me, we need bigger, higher damaging weapons.

Yeah, maybe the damage is great on UNWEEDED tiles, but fighting any aliens besides runners on weeded tiles is fucking hellish.

This is a really bad joke, right? You must not play marine very often if you think that's the case.

I think a portable heavy weapon like the smartgun would be a good idea, since we wouldn't have to rely on them being off the weeds. It might make things a bit easier on us if we could take the fight to them on their home turf, instead of letting them on ours. Of course it'd need limitations, like only having one per squad and maybe only letting them be used after first hostile contact.

I have problems with SAW since when you fire any other weapons, you can click as much as you want with not it saying it can't fire, however the SAW seems to be a worst version of magnum, since it has the delay of magnum and it does not deal a lot of damage, you won't get much time to spend 50 ammo...

Anyway... YES AND NO TO HIGHER WEAPONS DAMAGE yes is: it's really hellish to kill aliens on weeds and no is: someone obviously never usually gets to fire much laser weaponry and stationary machine gun

Its hard to see that someone one of the marines could be actually a russian traitor no?

What vets do when bored

The downside of the smartgun is that it would likely take up both the players hands, their backpack and slow them to a walking speed. While they're now basically a walking turret, they're going to have a hard time holding supplies and performing actions. If they need to escape or perform an important action quickly, the smartgunner might have to consider discarding their weapon for survivability.

In the films, Vasquez ends up discarding her smartgun when it became inconvenient. She later picked up a pulse rifle after losing her smartgun.

Can someone post the script or whatever for the macro so the rest of us can use the shotgun? I see so many people talking about how great it is when bound but for us simpletons without great knowledge of compooters we still struggle with the shotgun.

To bind a macro, open up SS13 and go to the top blue bar, where it says the server name. Right click, and it'll open a menu. Scroll down to 'Client', open that menu, and click on 'Macros.' It'll open up a separate window where you can create a macro. The command you want to bind is Pump-Shotgun, make sure you include the hyphen. I bound mine to CTRL+C.
