Labeling two handed weapons

Post by enkas » 27 May 2016, 13:10

Bug Description: Labeling two handed weapons is not entirely possible, as when you grip it firmly, the label is gone

Steps to reproduce:
1.Have a gun
2.Label it with a kickass name with a hand labeler
3.Take it in both hands, and cry in despair.

Your other hand (the one gripping it tightly) covers the label.

Apparently, it also wipes it off, as it does not stay, when you remove the hand D:

The issue is likely a two-handed weapon 'transforms' into another entity as you grip it, code-wise.

AND if you label a gun and add/remove an attachment it also resets labels

Yeah, because a rifle with an attachment 'transforms' into another rifle as well.
To summ up at this moment we can label: belts, onehanded weapons, armor, sentries, walls(?).

So yea, story short. Do it with your fully moded revolver and call it Iron.
Reference involved.
CM was obviously inspired by Starcraft: Ghost opening. At least when marines takes too long to deploy.
