Give Marines Bonus Accuracy & Less Recoil While Stationary

Provides an interesting tradeoff between mobility and offensive power.

Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):

Firing after being stationary for say a full second will give you significant bonuses to accuracy and recoil reduction.

Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it):

Adapt the code that gives Marines bonus accuracy for walking.

It's not, because the other one advocates penalizing Marines for movement; big difference.

Because it's silly that you can run like a track star and gun at the same time. Even trained professionals IRL can just scuffle about when firing a gun.

A lot of this shit in this game is silly but tolerated for gameplay purposes, like Aliens being totally and completely immune to deathchems.

Because the chems would pretty much melt in their body. There's a reason for that. There's no reason you can outrun a carrier while being able to hit it with perfect accuracy every time.

Lol, what? What are you talking about? Chemicals don't 'melt' they react. While I'm sure some poisons would be useless vs the aliens given the difference in physiology, others would be deathly toxic. Beyond that any sufficiently alkaline substance would basically cause Xenos to outright explode; acid blood is really cool and all up until the point it results in death by explosive neutralization.

are we going with the IRL argument again? this is getting used so much it's not even serious, because it's a g a m e that does not aim to be r e a l i s t i c that much.

and as I've said in the previous thread, toggling walk mode on works that way, now don't it.

I'm more concerned with a gameplay tradeoff of rewarding stationary firing than being consistent with reality; that it's couched in verisimilitude is a bonus.

Unacceptable because they're too great a nerf to Marines which desperately need mobility to not die/get huggered.
