+1

I feel like xenos have enough tools now to deal with barricades that having them moveable with some cost of time and effort is fine.

+1 from me.

I hate this when someone pushes me and it happens at the end of the construction timer.

I'm being Xeno main lately and I still support my idea. Marines need the small bump in mobility.
CM was obviously inspired by Starcraft: Ghost opening. At least when marines takes too long to deploy.

Heres a thought, to go on top of xurs idea: barricades can be unwrenched and moved/rotated, but they cant be deconstructed. So they have to be pulled into place like sentrys. Good idea?

No, fuck that. PITA to redeploy, especially with the speed penalization (which Xur's comments predate). I'd only be cool with this if they could be exploited as mobile cover.

True, and just getting the plasteel back would be better in most situations, especially from barricades that are no longer repairable.

Honestly, apop seems pretty adamant at making sure barricades are a pain in the ass to redeploy. Having them be moved like sentrys might sway him to be a little more lienent on the restrictions on movement. i also took into account that towing is now slower, and thats why i suggested it. Im not sure if they should provide cover if they are unwrenched, scince that could be pretty busted real quick having a crusher proof moving barricade, especially if you got several lined up in unison. As for repairing barricades, they still just need welding, and if they are busted, they still leave a single plasteel plate, just like normal.

wrenching them down might be a quick action, so people could redeploy them quick, but it would take a decent amount of time to haul them into place. seems balanced and definitely a step up from we have right now.

Also remember, this suggestion of moving barricades would be the only moving barricades that you could shoot over. you cant do that with steel/tables/crates/ etc. The only thing you can shoot over that also can be moved are the hydro trays(i believe) and hydro trays dont block spit/ charges.

Update came in, is now featured within the game so I ask that this be closed and moved to accepted.

Engineers, please enjoy the change. Its current form is very nice (No bug or anything, statement).
