Surgery Changes
Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary):
Remove the RNG 'You missed pulling out the object' change from surgery.
Add the function of the surgery operating computer telling you the next possible steps.
Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):
Gets marines hit by FF shrapnel into the fight faster because doctors don't miss the item in their chest 15 times.
Helps newbie doctors not spam-look at the wiki and take 20 minutes.
Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):
Okay so the first one is obvious.
The second one is gonna need some 'splaining.
So basically, the surgery operating computer will have a list of steps for the possible surgeries you're doing, depending on where you are targeting on the body.
For example, if you made an incision on the head, the surgery computer will list all possible surgeries for the head, and then under them if you click the possible surgery, list the next steps you need to take. So if a doctor is doing bone repair surgery on the head, they click the operating computer, click the 'bone repair' surgery tab, and a menu opens listing all the steps to complete it properly. No more wiki-spam-looking for newbies required.
Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it):
Noooooo clue.

You got to it first... YES YEA YES YES YES!
First of all i can understand that a bullet that small is hard to grab. But right now it took me at least 6-10 times to get it out of a marine. And please remove the bone settler rng since that has forced me to cut arms and legs of for robotic limbs as i am sick of doing it.
We have to deal with marines 24/7 and when rng is not with us then its rage inducing.

The FitnessGram™ Pacer Test is a multistage aerobic capacity test that progressively gets more difficult as it continues. The 20 meter pacer test will begin in 30 seconds. Line up at the start. The running speed starts slowly, but gets faster each minute after you hear this signal. [beep] A single lap should be completed each time you hear this sound. [ding] Remember to run in a straight line, and run as long as possible. The second time you fail to complete a lap before the sound, your test is over. The test will begin on the word start. On your mark, get ready, start.

The first one is you trying to fix the bone that was already fine before (i have no idea how you managed to fail to spot you cutting the wrong place)
Second one happens when the brute is above 35 or so, at such injuries the bone will re-break, so you have to reduce brute damage in that limb untill its below 35 or so

I used to do that all the time when removing a larva. Then I found out the ribcage isn't actually broken when you cut it open with the saw. All you need to do after you close the ribcage with a retractor is use bonegel twice and cauterize. The only time you need to use a bone setter is when the chest already had bone damage.coolsurf6 wrote: Ohhh... How was i supposed to know that?

Re: Surgery Changes
The first one? I can sympathise with, being a victim to it myself.
The second one? Hell naw. You are, RP-wise, a trained fucking doctor, you already know all the steps. If there's a computer telling you all the steps, why not get a fething MEDIC to do it? There's no point, if the instructions are being illustrated for you. Read the wiki if you must.

There is no bone setter RNG. The bone setter will break a bone, if you try to set an intact one.. Otherwise, if there is over 30 brute damage on the bodypart, you'll need to treat it with bicaridine/tricordrazine, before you can actually set them, otherwise, they will snap once more.

bumping this thread due to the idea popping back up.
Gaze upon me,
for I have wandered deep into the ancient tombs of knowledge to which lie madness and sorrow, cleansing a path for all those who walk behind me...
...
But seriously, does uh, anyone know the way out?!
~Furthermore, I consider that Floodlights should no longer be destroyed.~

Re: Surgery Changes
+1 to eliminating the low % RNG of removing shrapnel. My longest record so far is 10 misses.. frustrating at best, more marines yelling outside and breaking shit at worst.
