I'm not sure if this is a feature or not, so instead of putting this in the bugs section (since it works) and placed it in the suggestion.
Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary):
Making metal and glass sheets should not result in loss when making them in the autolathe.
Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):
No loss of materials for no reason for the marines.
Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):
As of now, when one sheet of either metal or glass is put into an autolathe it gives about 3700 -3800 materials to be used. (don't rememeber the exact number)
However, the cost to get back that sheet of metal or glass is around 4687 if IIRC. There's a net loss of about 1000 materials just to get your sheet back.
I feel like they should be exactly the same, considering you can't deconstruct an autolathe to get things back.
Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it):
This should be a simple fix: Either increase the material a sheet gives to the cost or reduce the cost to what the sheet gives.
Net cost of making sheets in autolathe should be zero

Thing is you can't take out 5 sheets because there's not enough materials to produce 5 sheets when you insert 5 sheets.MauroVega wrote:You are taking out what you put inside,if you put in 5 sheets you can take out 5 sheets, its not a bug

You try putting 5 sheets in and getting 5 sheets out, like I noted there's a difference in material unitsMauroVega wrote:you sure someone else did not print something?

This is, or is similar to, a very old problem with the first sheet in a stack not counting when inserting said stack into the autolathe.
