Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary):
So I was thinking they'd be like, bigger praetorians spritewise, thinner, but they'd have a lot of slash damage and way more armor than your average praetorian. A Praetorian would become a Palatine through going Ancient.
Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):
The Empress wouldn't be alone and unprotected.
Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):
Palatines would essentially be able to rip apart powerloaders, withstand all but the most concentrated of barrages, and move pretty quick, but they'd only gain these benefits by being within the vicinity of the Queen/Empress
Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it):
no

Re: Palatine (Praetorian T3)
Actually an interesting concept. I'd be alright with an ancient praetorian being renamed to "palatine", and it getting certain buffs by being in their matriarchs vicinity. And whistles, the difference being, they get their power up via a pheramone X radius sorta deal. if you're within X tiles of your matriarch, you're pretty much the best guard ever.

What should happen to a Palatine when the Queen/Empress dies?
Cause lorewise they can just become the Queen (Mother) in that event.

Re: Palatine (Praetorian T3)
I think they'd revert to being a standard ancient or elite praetorian, and then become palatine if a queen or above is on. Simply have a check run to see if the queen is alive, I guess?ParadoxSpace wrote:What should happen to a Palatine when the Queen/Empress dies?

I don't think this is the right time to suggest new evolutions or tiers. We just revamped the evolution system, so let's give it some time to actually settle in first. I'm also locking similar topics.
