Machete Mag Harness

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): Allow the mag harness to be placed on machetes as attachments.

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): It'll make machetes much more usable, since they already punish you so much by forcing you to sacrifice a primary or backpack slot for it. It's not too fair when you fall over just to lose it after all that, which is why having a mag harness on it can make it very worthwhile.

Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc): A mag harness is placed on a machete as an attachment so it cannot be lost.

Well considering how a machete takes up the slot for a weapon I don't see a reason why this would be a bad idea.

I would support this idea, besides what's the difference between someone in a hive with their trusty SADAR/M41A mag strapped to their chest versus someone with their trusty machete strapped to their chest? Hardly overpowered.

I believe this was brought up in the past. Short of it is, mag harnesses only go onto your primary firearms because that's what they are designed for. Machete's are niche weapons; you are not meant to mag harness everything.

They aren't really a niche weapon since they take up so much space. If you're taking a machete, you're most likely going fit your loadout around it, since it takes up as much space as a primary. Because of this, it essentially is a primary, which is why it deserves to be able to have a mag harness attached to it.

It's not a primary though and its actual usefulness is very limited. This is why I referred to it as a niche weapon, because it is. People who use it are the same people who carry revolvers. It's not as good as a standard rifle, but that's not really a consideration. Anyway, resolved and locked.
