Add a way for users to rate/react to forum posts.

Post by Monoo » 27 Jun 2016, 17:46

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): Implement a set of buttons for anyone who views a forum post to label it. You can see a similar system on the facepunch forums: anyone's post can be marked with any number of "nice!", "creative", etc. markers by other forum users. Some forum users make use of this system to set up polls, and others have their work judged by their fellows.

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): People in the CM community put out a lot of creative thought. This system would give others a way to show their (dis)approval of creativity and other things on the forums without creating repetitive comments or salt.

Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc): When viewing someone else's post, you have the option of selecting a number of buttons. The amount of each button pressed would show up at the bottom of the post. For example, an "approve" button foplowed by 7x if 7 people clicked approve.

Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it): Import the system from another website or create our own

Sometimes I might play other guys, you never know.

+1, i think it would be nice just to have a simple clicker with a +1/-1 button to see how many people are for or against suggestion ideas. Although, i kinda like the +1/-1 post system wwe have now, it acts like a proper forum where people MUST put down some sort of comments in order for their vote to count, like an old greece forum.

...

But seriously, does uh, anyone know the way out?!

I remember this system, ohh.

As long as it JUST likes/dislikes, I'll say neutral.

See, I used to be on a forum, where this one admin really didn't like me, so he talked a bit of shit about me, and whenever I responded in order to defend myself, I was downvoted into oblivion

Now I wouldn't give a shit...

If having dislikes restricted you to certain parts of the forum.
Naturally I didn't give a fuck, gave a shit though. Oh well, neutral/-1
