You can't melt them with super acid, the queen can't turn them off, maybe allow the queen to turn it off or make them meltable?

You mean the emergency shield projector? Because shield generators in science are meltable

The shields that you find in engineering ARE MELTABLE

Also , the projectors in science ARE MELTABLE
