Smart-Disc is awful.

The Smart-Disc is fucking awful and it needs to change.

First off, its slow as fuck. Marines can out-run it and dont even bother with xenos.

Second, its easy as fuck to disable because its so god damn slow marines can easily shoot it.

Third, it does barely any damage if it manages to get close. You usually get 3-5 slashes in before it disables.

Fourth, its considered fucking yautja technology so its something that NEEDS to be retrieved. Yet when you use it itll end up disabling RIGHT BESIDE A MARINE who ends up picking it up and walking off.

Fifth, it operates NOTHING like in the actual canon movies or comics. Its supposed to be fast, bounce off shit quickly and de-limb and behead fuckers before bouncing right back.

Sixth, the only time its useful is in crowded areas where usually half the people are wounded or dying and it ends up targetting the already injured person!

This shit is so useless we might as well just spawn with 6 on us at all times just for some hope of effect.

So heres what I propose.
1. Increase the speed so its faster that marines.
2. Make it hit 1 target for INSTA delimb/heavy damage and bounce right back.
3. Remove the silly follow/pursueing mechanic it currently has.
4. Still allow it to be disable by bullets.
5. It comes right back to the thrower once it hits a target but its up to the predator to stay in range and visibility for this to work.

+1, to make it useful, at least. It sounds like a good panic button if you get swarmed, and to stop people from interfering with a Hunt or duel, imagine just dismembering a marine's hand when he tries to shoot you during a duel.

I've only gotten the smart-disc once and that was my very first hunt, since then I haven't even touched it since. +1 my dudes/dudettes

I'd actually link it with the targetting system suggested in the suggestion section and I'd make it just like the games and movies. You focus on a prey, send the disk and it acts like a projectile. Can be dodged, returns to wielder, cause severe brute.

Maybe bullets could intercept it in flight? I don't know, I really just prefer the idea of it being an actual disk thrown and coming back so it becomes viable instead of a bayblade cheap toy.

I am tempted to keep the secrets of smart smart-disc usage to myself. And one other person. It's actually a really good weapon if you know how to use it properly. Anyway, this is locked. It will be changed when and if it will be changed. All predator changes are not high on the priority right now, though that doesn't mean they won't happen.
