Researcher nitro grenades

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary):Give the researcher a single plant tray and a pack of corn seeds to make glycerol.

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):Nerf the HELL out of the infinite potassium/water grenades (already done, so nothing needs to be done here), but allow limited nitroglycerin grenades for dat oldschool destructive power.

Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc): 120/120 potas/water grenades were cancer on the server, and I'm glad they've been heavily nerfed, but I'd still like R&D to have a way to create crazy-big michael bay explosions, on a limited scale. One way to do so is tank-transfer bombs, which are buildable sulaco-side, but require a large amount of atmos knowledge to do so, and can't be reliably used without breaching, and are discouraged as such.

The solution to this is the nitro grenade. It's currently possible to make, but it requires equipment from botany planetside (and a SHITLOAD of time), which is difficult to acquire. My proposal would put the equipment in the Research Lab at roundstart.

For reference, a single corn harvest produces 3-5 corns, one of which must be turned back into seeds. The remaining 2-4 corns can be ground for 3u of corn oil each, which must be combined with sulfuric acid to produce 1u of glycerol each. Glycerol is combined with poly acid and sulfuric acid to make an explosion of greater power than potassium//water. Each harvest provides 2-4u of glycerol, so it'll take 15-30 harvests for a single DOOMGRENADE (60u glycerol), making it a background task
that researchers can do, OR if they want to go full on botanist and get mutagen and try for better stats at the risk of killing the plant, they can.

If this is implemented, I forsee no more than 1 nitro grenade/round due to the EXTREME time cost, but it would give the researcher an option to make something that'll be quite strong.

Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it):Add a plant tray, a packet of corn seeds, a portable seed extractor, a plant analyzer, and a mini-hoe to an empty tile in the R&D lab.


P.S. All this equipment IS ALREADY IN THE CODE AND AVAILABLE PLANETSIDE, so if anyone wants to try it when this gets ignored, all ya gotta do is sprint to an alien-infested dome, grab 3 items, hack a vendor for the seeds, and unwrench a tray, all while not getting facehugged/FF'd. Good luck.

It's actually not planetside. You can't get the seeds for corn, haven't been able to since pre alpha on the nostromo.

It used to be fun to have command send a squad to retrieve the equipment for you to make nitroglycerin grenades in pre alpha, but I'm not sure we should have them now.

There fairly rediculous in explosion scale, on the level of prenerfed research grenades, and they were nerfed for a reason, not to mention the explosion could gib aaand blow large holes in the sulaco.

All in all, a -1 from me.

Wait, the seed vendor doesn't have corn seeds in it in the botany dome?

As for the ridiculous radius and damage, I agree . It IS absurdly high, but time cost will limit it. I'd be surprised to see more than one of these per round.
