Replace walk with crouch.
Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): When you click on the 'Run' button in the bottom right, it will switch to crouch mode, with a whole load of abilities.
Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): Would make fighting more immersive as you crouch up and down from cover.
Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc): When you crouch, you go the same speed as if you were walking but when muhreens or aliens fire at you, you have an increased chance of you dodging it. Same thing for Melee attacks. Also, when you crouch behind cover (a table, metal barricade, ect...) the enemy can not see you from a direct view point (of course not for xenos) and you can only hit said enemy from a corner.
Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it): tons of coding, maybe an extra Sprite.

While it would be nice to have more reason to walk, I think some of these features are a tad too complicated to program in.
Still, it would be nice to be able to fire OVER a marine if some kind of crouch was ever implemented, which would ease up some of the FF that tends to happen in fights.

Well, supposedly the marines need to put extra effort into winning through organization and what not. And crouching in front of your buddies so both you and those behind you can fire is an actual thing. So +1 for the crouch, but mostly for Renomaki's idea. Joshuu and I aren't going to redo the majority of the human sprites to accommodate this. It'd be cool, but it'd grind our work to a halt. Denied.

I don't think he is proposing a Sprite change, I think it's intended more on the coding side

I mean alternately walk could be renamed to something like "battle focus" and when it's active you are more aware of your surroundings and as such have a higher chance to dodge bullets or something like that.

+1 as something to de-emphasise sprinting marines chasing you 2-3 screens into the hive, then sprinting back out because there's no benefit to moving slowly.

High chance of dodging bullets I feel is too weak. Since most people would never use it. Maybe instead "battle focus" could give you a chance to smack xenos that pounce at you away? And said chance would decrease the more matured they were? That way it'd give runners and hunters a bit more to think about when they attempt to pounce into the middle of a group. Since, ya know, being stunned in the middle of said group isn't the best situation to be in.
