Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): Negating hugger combat and not being as cheesy as it is.
Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc): It would work like, a person is fending off a hugger for roughly 8-12 seconds before succumbing to it. If someone else shakes them up it tears the hugger off and the person stands up still awake. After the timer is up though, the hugger latches and the person is relatively screwed like usual.
I'm not looking for a way to make it so there's some chance of fighting the hugger alone, standing up, and going back to business. I'm saying it still knocks you on your ass and you're still rightly fucking paralyzed until helped up. I just want it to not be so debilitating when a carrier shows up and instantly cucks 3 people with no access to helmetry.
If a woman, albeit someone who works in the Cargo Docks with a bit of HURR to her arms, could fend off a facehugger, why could a fit United States Marine just get royally instafucked when one shows up?
