The size of the map has nothing to do with the lag. The lag unsurprisingly, is the result of 150+ players online at once. That's not something I can fix.

More internal combat, more exploration of the domes and not exploration of the open boring red space, not to mention that the breathable air problem, losing your gas mask will count less and can be less problem for both aliens for preserving hosts and marines for losing their

I like Big red, for the sole fact that it is so big. It's takes a very long time to get to battle zone to battle zone, meaning reinforcements take time to arrive. Which just seems more real to me. And you have Marines that have already explored the tunnels and caves, leading the other marines to the hive to engage in epic combat.
