Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary):
Right now, flares give off regular, brightening light. Wouldn't it be cool if it was a brightening light but in a shade of red, like actual flares?
Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):
Immersion and spookiness.
Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):
I don't know how changing colors work, but I've seen it on Paradise. There must be a way to adjust the hue of a light to the point where it illuminates the same amount to the human eye but with a red shade.
Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it):
Change the hue and code up some things.
Have flares give off RED light.

Baycode server Polaris (open source) has colored lighting so it shouldn't be too hard to reproduce/appropriate for here

Re: Have flares give off RED light.
I've been playing on Baystation around the time when they first tried introducing coloured lighting at while it looked great and there were no issues visible to me, a player, I heard staff complaining about how it's "not working properly" all time.
So neutral. I'd rather have more pressing issues fixed first (and there's like a mountain first) instead of sending a coder to spend two months just for nice light.

1. We can't port stuff.
2. Duplicate.
3. The devs probably have a very good reason as to why we can't do coloured lighting just yet, and I'll let them explain it.
