Queens vs small explosives

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): Currently any small explosion can knock down a queen or empress, while they are supposed to be more than 6 meter tall, incredibly heavy monstrosities. So I suggest that we change the knockdown effect to be instead a smaller stun for queens and empresses.

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): Aliens often get fucked over by marines lobbing grenades into small spaces like the Rasputin or setup unfairly hidden claymores which often get queens that lead charges, which is even worse on lowpop because the aliens will often end up with no queen.

I would have to say i have a strong -1 to this because grenades are the marine's bread and butter. They are really the only way to counter ANY alien other than shooting at it. If marines lost this against the Queen then all of them would have to rely on their fellow mates or if they only have 1-2 more people that are kind of screwed. Sure they all wont die but it will for sure disable them and if the Queen has more xenos then RIP. The Queen falling from an explosion would make sense because most of that weight is in the upper part. If you blow those legs back kerpluch goes the rest.

1.hiding claymores is difficult now due to the sprite being off,meaning not a lot of things hide them now.
2.Pretty sure apop has said in the past he wants marines to hide the mines.
3.get a few young runners to scout ahead of the queen so they don't get dunked by the mines

Xenos have pouncing, acid & neuro spit, acid & neuro spray, stomps, screeches and huggers to stun marines.

Marine has Mines, SADAR and grenades to stun xenos. None of which are unlimited and are often very rare or expensive to acquire.

Any of you even bothered reading this thread? they not asking to nerf grenade damage, they asking to nerf its stun, it doesn't matter if you have a guard pheromone on, 10 marines rushing the fallen down queen from a random claymore/grenade is deadly asf, to the point if you are not elite/ancient, you are NOT going to live, even if its 4 marines.

You can't stun aliens when they're on guard pheromones.

Uh no? i been stunned myself plenty of times with guard pheromones, whoever told you this is a liar, otherwise there would already be complaints about this and ALOT more xenos would use them

Guard pheromones cut explosive damage to next to nothing for the queen, Also don't nitpick. Getting good is still a valid reason, or not leading the assault as per lore. Let a crusher do it, then walk up and screech stun the disorganized marines.

Pretty sure it was that way 3-4 months ago. I saw runners, hunters and queens not getting stunlocked after direct nade/mine explosions when on guard.

Tested it out, nope, guard pheromones don't do shit against stun

Guard just increases your dnd-style Armor Class. Grenades are there only for the stun and for a queen, being stunned briefly means she can easily die. I agree that a queen shouldn't step on mines in the first place because crushers should go first into assaults, but the problem is in the Rasputin, because sometimes you can't get out of a blast and a lot of times that's the way you die. Grenades should stun for perhaps a second, but they should not knockdown a queen..

-1. If a SCREECH can knock down up to 6 well trained marines (a screech for gods sake!) then a grenade can knock a queen down. And you know a queen can screech while stunned, right?

I love how people come that it's not part of the lore, but if everything was of per the lore 5 aliens could wreck the Sulaco.

The game is not 100% lore-based. Nevertheless, remove Queen screetch and Queen won't get stunned by nades. That's the fair trade.

Up your game, I've never lost as queen and generally you just need to be defensive as Xeno to force marines into your claws.

You have 1 prae, 1 boiler and 1 crusher in an entrance and NOTHING can get through with some hugggers to support.
CM was obviously inspired by Starcraft: Ghost opening. At least when marines takes too long to deploy.
