Are you now or have you been banned on any of them? Nope. I'm a staff member on Aurora and I was recently unbanned from Baystation 12 due to an issue revolving mirroring Windows product keys.

Your appeal, including evidence (screenshots, etc): Right, so as I said before, it's likely an issue due to mirroring Window product keys, This results into me having a similar IP to some other players who may or not share the same product keys or own an illegimate Windows (as do I). As a former player of CM, I'd love to be able to hang out here with some friends again.

I've had this copy for maybe 2 years (?), maybe longer even. As for VPN use, nope. I dont use VPNs.

So, I looked into this, and pulled both you and the player who was initially banned. There's no match between IPs or CIDs so I'm at a loss to explain how you got caught in the ban. Getting caught by having the same IP as another player because a counterfeit copy of windows doesn't sound right to me, however you have no notes and no record of actually being banned. This is pretty much ready for higher review.

Weird stuff, really. I had this exact same issue when trying to join baystation. A staff member dealing withe situation suggested the following:

identical Wine environments in Linux
-identical VM environments
-identical Windows product keys (no surprises here)
-VPN stuff clashing

Since I dont utilize VPNs and I'm the only one who uses BYOND, windows product keys clashing seemed the closest to my problems. But then again, it doenst sound entirely logical for it to cause ip and cid problems like this.

If you don't have a legit copy of windows, it's possibly your CID (which is a Computer ID) is duplicated by someone else who is banned that is using an illegal copy of windows as well.

Also, if you are using WINE or that weird Mac thing, those all share the SAME CID across all of them, so if one person got banned, it bans everyone.

Since I dont use Wine, then it has to be a mirroring CID. Bummer. I'm just glad we've gone past the part where I'r been deemed clean at least, nice. I'll wait and see whst your review will say about the lift.
