Job-ban appeal

Post by skhul » 10 Feb 2017, 16:50

Your Byond ID: Crusader777

Character Name: Kale 'Rooster' Enderly

Type Of Ban (Job-ban, Timed Ban, Permaban): Job-ban for Military Police

Admin who banned you (if known): No idea

Total Ban Duration: Unknown

Remaining Duration: Unknown

What other servers do you play on? None aside for this one for the past half year now.

Are you now or have you been banned on any of them? Have been banned from aurora.

Reason for ban (If you have a Permaban, it should be the EXACT MESSAGE YOU GET WHEN YOU LOGIN with the Error code that looks like this: X##XXX##. If you do not provide this EXACTLY you can't be unbanned): None given

Link to previous appeals for the same ban (if applicable):

Your appeal, including evidence (screenshots, etc): I was not notified or given really any reason for why I was job banned from being a MP and I can't see any reason I would be in the past few weeks I been playing. Just went on setup character and noticed I can't play as one. I'm wondering if it's a mistake or intentional and the reason why. Thank you!

I was the one who job-banned you.

Code: Select all

Banned from Military Police - As MP, took a tac shotgun and charged across the river, supposedly to catch someone and bring them to justice. Logged by the time I found out, so couldn't talk to them about it. by Adminbot (Friendly Robot) on Thu, February 9th of 2017
For reference, I found your body in the midst of the nearly cleared hive that the marines were pushing through.

Care to explain?

Yeah no problem! Command instructed me to serve a warrant for someone named Jay something planetside and brought in for questioning. I now remember actually being contacted by another moderator who asked me why I was there and after explaining to him he said it was alright. Thanks for responding so quickly!

Okay, so the issue here is this:
ALL NON-MARINE SULACO CREW (Doctors, Engineers, Cargo, MPs, Command, etc)
Do not equip weapons larger than a pistol unless you are in imminent danger of a visible threat.
You may leave the Sulaco to report to the FOB (Forward Operating Base) so long as you have clearance from your department head or a superior officer unless explicitly stated otherwise below.
The implication of this is for you is that you would have to only go to the FOB and stay there. How come you were all the way at the front line?

The FOB was at the nexus, I'm sure, which is the reason why I felt the need to jobban you for finding your body so far from said nexus FOB.

Oh no I wouldn't be silly enough to go across the river and to the tablefort without it being called the FOB several times over comms chatter!

Hm, at the time tablefort had been dismantled and had almost no defences so it doesn't really seem like much of a FOB. I would appreciate your patience so this can be investigated a little further.

Thank you! All I would ask for simply is a warning as I love the military police position very much however I respect any decision made by you or any other staff! I'll take greater care and consideration in the future when it comes to blurry situations like this one!
