I was playing as a squad medic, we had just landed on the surface of LV-426 and while I was moving forward two huggers were beneath a box at the east nexus entrance, i was hit with the first one, killed it and took another step only to have the second one hug me. Luckily my fellow marines helped me up and allowed me to cut it off. I sent an Ahelp claiming that this was metagaming.... Apparently to SLC97 it was not. Long story short I didn't exactly agree, and while I was a little rude/pissed off I didn't really insult the Headstaff nor did I immediatly log out during or right after the argument. I went and found the other medic in my squad, Jesus Bravo and gave him all of my important medical equipment, backpack and medical belt then went and waited for the Rasputin to come pick me up to go to cryo... I don't recall how long I waited but the area was poorly defended and I did not like the idea of waiting around just to get kidnapped by some hugger lobbing xeno. So i went back to the chapel in the nexus, and put myself in a casket and went SSD, reason being I really felt wronged in the situation and didn't really feel like playing a round where the xenos were going to be allowed to meta like that.

I was aware that going SSD is generally frowned upon, and IS a job-bannable offense during very early round or as a head role during any point in game.
I do not feel as if it was early game when these events occurred, That my role was incredibly important to the round/went SSD with my equipment, Suicided or that I left during the process of an investigation with staff, Nor was I overly rude to SLC97 during the time that I tried calling out metagaming.

While I agree that it's not sportly to leave a game like that, I feel that a job ban is a little overkill for the 'crime' committed. I know I shouldn't have left like that, I should have gone to cryo... But I was honestly really pissed off and didn't want to let myself start more trouble or get more pissed off as I had to keep playing a game that was bad from the start of the round.

Alright, so presumably you did hand over your gear. I can't tell because that's all you said before ghosting. However the problem remains that once you finished speaking with the admin you decided to just leave. Despite your opinion, it was the first drop, the start of the round, and instead of just leaving in an area where you could be found and cryo'd you hid yourself, at best waiting two minutes. Medics are critical considering there's no cloning. You die you stay dead. Furthermore your attitude towards Slc is just rude. "This is meta." "It's not." "Alright I'm taking this to the forums." "Alright do it." "Fine yeah whatever go away."

Don't be a dick. - "Dickish" and "harassment" type of behavior is not allowed. This includes all OOC forms of racism, homophobic slurs, all other demeaning language with the intent to harass another player. This is combined with your attitude towards staff. If you have a problem with a staff member's decision, show them respect and do what they say, then submit a staff complaint.

There was no reason to threaten to bring it up on the forums, presumably to file a staff complaint. Just do it, it just makes you look bad, especially in your complaint or appeal. Like demanding to speak to the manager because you didn't get your way. I'm neutral on this but looking at your note history you've had some problems in the past that will definitely rule negatively on future bans/appeals.
