I only downloaded and installed this game today, so I'm new, and I have no idea what happened because when i first tried to click into this server it never loaded and gave me that message. So I was hoping you guys could help me with why i cant log in.
I assume that ban happened last year 25th august? but yeah I only found out about this game last week and installed it today so yeah xD.

No obligation to apologize, still, there's no information regarding your account. Otherwise, you've never attempted to log Into our server, opposite to what you describe In the appeal. Do you possibly employ the use of a VPN In your Machine?

Yeah, I thought i shouldnt even be on your system because i've never played the game before, its why i was so confused to find that message.
No I dont use any type of VPN, i orginally tried to just log straight in after starting up the byond program but it said no guests which is fair, so after i made an account it gave me that message.
Do you have any ideas I could try? Should i just make another account and see if that works? or is there some account that's tied to my IP, like someone else in my house that did play this game and got banned?

I had a sister and she did play online games here, I have no idea if she played this game before though. she could have but she never mentioned this game to me and it doesnt seem like something she'd play.
Is there any info i could give that could help you figure out what happened? like is there some in game IP or something you could use?

Yeah, I see only a few Ckeys, and the credentials are mostly all related/identical.

What proof do you have you weren't the original person?

Umm I kinda have no idea how to prove I'm not whoever got this computer? IP? banned.
I barely know how to play the game and I've only played 2 games so far, took me a good few mins to learn how to walk and I had no idea how to eat food for a while, but I googled enough to know to pick assistant. I was just hoping to try this game mode but its ok, you guys seem to have your reasons so thanks for trying anyway .

The thing is, you got caught by a "stick-ban". It was placed on a specific account. For it to catch you, you would have had to share a Computer ID, GAme Account, or IP address with the existing ban, and that's nearly impossible unless it's you.

I can see the IDs, Keys, and IPs associated with it, and I don't see a bunch of false hits, meaning it's more than 85% chance that it's not a mistake.

So you'd need to give us a reason to believe that you aren't the person banned, because people are fucksticks and frequently play the "innocent" or "new Ckey' card.

Especially since I see that you joined SS13 with this account the same day you made this appeal.

Yeah I see how it must look to you guys seeing as how my computer ID/IP is shared with someone who was doing dodgy stuff.
The only reason I joined SS13 and made the appeal the same day is because the first time I tried to play a colonial marines game type, it said I needed an account which is understandable, so I made one to play the game type. Then I thought I made it wrong because it said I was banned before I even played, that's why I made the appeal because I thought it was a mistake. I thought I had done something by accident in making my account that the system didn't like and that's why it false banned me, I didn't realize that it was a real ban that happened 26AUG 2016 (I assume that's what the ban code means?).

If you have some method in mind that I could use to prove I'm not who ever got banned I'd be glad to comply, but if you don't its ok, you've got every right to want to keep your community safe and free from abuse.

At this point my only question is, what was the original ban for? Multikeying and griefing, I googled that and I think it means using more than 1 account, and rigging the game?
I hope my sister wasn't being hyper mean to people or something.
If possible, can you tell me the details of the original banned account, like its username or email and such? or maybe what they were typing in game? If I am that person it shouldn't matter anyway right? I am just very curious at this point about what actually happened.

I have never shared with anyone, I don't even see the point of account sharing in a game like this where there doesn't seem to be any progression system.

Sorry I still don't know what you mean, I only have the one account (my potatosalad2 one) that I've only used on this computer.
This is my sister's old computer so she may have also played this game but it doesn't seem like a game she would play, if that what you mean?
I don't know of anyone else who has access to my computers or my home network that has played this game.

Ok I've asked my family that lives with me and no one has played of/heard of this game before. So now I'm really confused as to what is going on, more so than getting unbanned I'm just very curious as to why my computer ID/IP is already on your system.
Does the banned account have a byond ID associated with it? or is that potatosalad? because I only made that when I joined a few months ago and I didn't think many other people would think of that name.

I'm really sorry to be such a pain, but this whole situation has left me very confused, are there any details you can give me of the original banned account?

The reason we are so hard on this specific appeal, is that it's from August 26th, 2016. We banned probably 10 people from a griefing team that day and they all have an additional flag. This is one of those bans.
