Your appeal, including evidence (screenshots, etc): So I guess ghosting is now against the rules? The last time I played mp I ghosted, but it was a good 10 minutes into the round after marines had deployed and the ship had another 3 mps on duty. I don't see why this ban was even placed in the first place

You were probably banned because you ghosted so early into the round instead of putting yourself in cryo first.

Rule 11.
Suicide, rage-quitting, and logging off - You won't be punished for logging out after a round starts, but it would be a big help if you first enter a cryo tube and Ghost (IC tab > Ghost verb) before you leave if you're able. This will release your job slot for a new player to take it. If you instead suicide or immediately ghost without first getting into a cryo tube near round-start (meaning you simply didn't want to play the role and took the job slot from someone who did), you may receive a job-ban.

This is not some new shadow-rule. This has always been the case and just because a staff member didn't catch it last time you did it doesn't mean it's alright. You should've just taken the short time to go into a cryotube to free up the slot, particularly for a crucial role. I'm not against this being lifted, however you should bear in mind you've been here awhile, you should have an understanding of our rules by now.
