I'm simply don't know what grief I did. I tried to do some lighthearted RP with someone in an escape pod with my character (A grunt in requisitions) having not actually seen the xenos, and after the game ended I comitted suicide to see ghost chat, but I was not aware of either of those breaking any rules (as the suicide rules relate to RP and restricting job openings, neither of which were possible at that time.) If I did break the rules I would deeply appreciate knowing how so that I could avoid doing it in the future.

DO NOT APPEAL BANS LOWER THAN 24 HOURS. EORG is generating combat logs. Suiciding creates combat logs.

I apologize! I didn't properly read the rules before posting, and that was very dumb. Was it an automatic ban? That clears things up a lot. Thank you.

As referenced above, cant appeak bans under 24 hours
As for the rulebreak, Griefing, specifically, end of round griefing:

Fighting after the round ends and generating combat logs. The exception is Marines and aliens fighting, or fighting against spawned Antags (Russian attack teams, W-Y Assassins, etc). End of Round Grief (EORG) is an IMMEDIATE 3 hour ban with no warnings.

Any logs, combat wise on friendlies, even yourself, will result in a 3 hour ban, even suicide

Thank you for the clarification. I didn't catch the context that self-inflicted combat logs counted as well, so I will be much more careful in the future. I also have to say I'm impressed with the rapid response, so thanks again.
