Your appeal, including evidence (screenshots, etc): The pouch update dropped. One of the unfortunate and, hopefully, unintended casualties of the 'patch' was helmet goggles. RIP helmet goggles #neverforget. If you're unfamiliar with what I'm talking about, one of the cosmetic roleplaying options given to marines is the ability to place their balaistic goggles inside their helmet to give their helmet sprite a new image, one depicting a pair of goggles strapped around the top of the helmet. I think it looks cool, makes me stand out a bit more in silhouette when I'm playing with familiar faces on the server.

I figured it was an unintended bug since it was a pretty harmless feature, so I did an ahelp about it. Because sometimes moderators aren't weird and they actually listen to bug reports and pass them on when appropriate, or they just ignore it because they aren't ten years old. My exact phrasing was "Can't put my goggles in my helmet anymore. Please inform Phil to eat a bag of sand on my behalf." I included the bit about sand gobbling as a joke, because zomg phil ruined the game by denying me my goggles BAN HE!

In response to my totally serious threat on Phil's welfare, Emerald then threatened to ban me. He continued to aggressively interact with me, and I guess my lack of interest in his power trip was enough to warrant my ban. I'll just post the whole chat log, I doubt it's worth digging through the logs to confirm it on your end but do whatever floats your boat.

This includes all OOC forms of racism, homophobic slurs, and all other demeaning language to harass another player. Don't be a bully, don't be an asshole. This applies when interacting with staff as well. We are a volunteer server, and if you're a raging cockgoblin when talking to staff, expect a ban. PM to Emerald Blood: Hopefully it will result in you being removed from your position. A moderator who instigates conflict and issues bans over 'eating sand' jokes is really not mentally equipped to deal with the riggors of moderating a server.

Made a joke and the moderator went off the deep end and started throwing around ban threats because I wouldn't kowtow to his weird power trip, and thus ate a ban for it.

Wow, where to start with this. First of all, bug reports are NOT meant for ahelps. Some mods are willing to forward your bug report because they care about the game and want that fixed, but that DOESN'T make ahelps a valid medium for bug reports whatsoever.

Second of all, even if the insult of "eating sand" is pretty mild, emerald is completely right: ahelps are not the place of that. She was willing to warn you and let you go by, but you HAD to be patronizing and argue in PMs, which is something that is EXPLICITLY listed as what you shouldn't be doing.

Your attitude was extremely patronizing, calling emerald childish, sensitive, and aggressive. Your were very abrasive and did not behave acceptably whatsoever, threatening emerald that she'll be removed from staff. This ban is entirely justified, and you brought it completely on yourself.

I informed you that I was giving a warning, as is staff policy to inform players when noting down warning, and you replied with, "Whatever." A response that doesn't sound very much like the light hearted mood you say you made that in. As such, I said that, if you wished, I could have placed a ban on it. Nowhere did I threaten to place one against your will. I'm pretty sure asking a question where I let you decide the outcome can't even be called a threat in any way.

Not really going to debate the whole ahelp bug thing. Seriously it's whatever.

I made a joking comment that someone should go eat sand because they fucked up the inventory slot on a helmet. Was that really deserving of a warning? And when I brushed off her over reaction I was then threatened with a ban. Yeah, it's a threat. If I say "Well I could shoot you in the head, would you like that instead?" It'd be considered a threat. This is no different, it's just more nerdy.

Yeah, I stand by my childish, over-sensitive and aggressive comments. Nothing about her response to that situation was rational or professional and I do believe she should be fired, and I hope this is the first step in that direction.

She issued her warning, I acknowledged it with disinterest, and was then threatened. Sorry if I didn't immediately start cowering and begging forgiveness under the threat of the looming ban hammer because I wasn't groveling enough.

I'm afraid emerald getting removed from staff is not gonna happen. She acted very professionally, despite your intentionally abrasive nature, and you have no place insulting a member of the moderation team. You should realize we get a colossal amount of shit flung at devs at times like these, and we have no way of knowing whether the insult is a "joke" or is just some attempt to tell someone to kill themselves over broken english. She did not overreact whatsoever, and the only mistake she made was not muting/banning you sooner.

I think you greatly misunderstand the role of the staff team on this server, as well as how things work. From the rules, verbatim:

If you have a problem with the decision a staff member makes, respect their rank and do what they say, then submit a staff complaint. Arguing with a staff member will increase your punishment and any report you make AFTER arguing is much less likely to be taken seriously

Even now, you are acting pretentious and intentionally difficult, throwing out any form of validity this appeal may have had. In fact, you are just solidifying emerald's case here. I even have a feeling this ban may be extended, though that isn't my call.

You didn't follow the correct bug reporting format which specifically tells you to go to the forums when attempted, then proceeded to send in a "jokey ahelp" which is a big no no regardless, remember that staff are often dealing with a lot of cases.

This could of been resolved with a simple "I was joking, my bad if it came across insulting"

However you instead proceeded to argue and insult the moderator in question. There wouldn't of been an issue if you quite honestly used your brain.

So let me get this straight, you have multiple notes for being rude and entitled to staff and sending rude and entitled ahelps. So then, a staff member from the hardest working team of people on the server showcases his work, and you get upset over your fucking goggles of all things and send a rude and entitled ahelp.

One of my moderators picks it up, and you respond with exactly what I used to say when I was 5 years old and told I couldn't do something instead of saying just "okay" or "sorry about that" or even just "won't happen again". At the point you were not threatened with a ban, you were educated on the possible consequences of your actions. Then you decided to throw a hissy fit and you were banned for such based on current actions and previous notes.

So I have really only one important question. Are you fucking kidding me?

Next any rude in-game, OOC or Ahelp you send... expect a perma-ban. You are a notoriously salty player, who is CONSTANTLY complaining, improve or will remove you.
