The conversations in xeno hivemind were forced towards non-ic content by several players; i was trying to move the conversation back to the game without being confrontational. I did not initiate the non-ic discussion, which was consistently derailing, but i hoped that my engagement would move the players back toward the game.

Rather, slc97 referred to many xeno notes, as i have been playing here from when the server opened, and kicked me, the active queen, 20 minutes into the round... over hivemind conversation.

I do not prompt or promote non-ic roleplay. Iam requesting the removal of the jobban.


Additionally, my review of Server Rules and Roleplay Guidelines does not indicate as bannable offense non-ic chat in hivemind that does not:

No IC in OOC or vise-versa No IC in OOC or Vice Versa - Keep IC (in character) in IC and OOC (Out-Of-Character) in OOC. Don't use (( or )) to communicate OOCly in-chat or over the radio. Doing so will result in an IMMEDIATE IC mute. Use LOOC to talk locally OOC or OOC to talk globally OOC. Never use OOC or LOOC to inform a player of something they wouldn't know or find out ICly... etc.

No mute. Just a power act. These are the rules above, not the power-banning that has happened.

A mentor copy and pasted me multiple lines of you speaking in IC about turning the hivemind into evil communists, and when I PMed you asking you about it, you twice told me you were the hivemind collective. Never once did you say you weren't a part of it, and when I told you the punishment you said "I understand". You were also banned only like 45 minutes ago.

This was some super low RP behavior. From the reports I received, you went from the hivemind being crusaders, to being muslims, to being commies. You were banned for extremely low RP behavior. Not for OOC in IC.

As i was not the initiator of the non-ic chat, why do you intend that it was of my origin that the hive was a muslim, communist collective? I did not order, or promote that. The individuals that reported me did so falsely. I have not intended to anything out-of-character; my responses were to out-of-character statements that others were making.

"Others were breaking the rules, so I broke the rules too" is not okay. If you had a problem with this, you should have ahelped instead of joining in. I will post the logs as soon as they update.

We're cracking down more on Poor Xeno RP due to complaints by players.

I'll look into this, but if you were involved in the non-IC chat at all, expect this ban to stick.

What others did or didn't do really isn't a concern and even if they were punished or not isn't one either.

The fact is, you broke server rules and have prior warnings for xeno related stuff in the past.

These hivemind conversation derailments happen all of the time; i can't consider this a serious offense. if you intend that this is an offense typical of verbally abusive confrontation, etc., then there is a far more serious problem here.

i have personally, never initiated these sorts non-rp chats, and 'joining in' Is a lesser offense. go arrest the bank robber, not the guy that picked up money on the side of the highway.

i have been here since before this forum. badminnery almsot destroyed the old server. banning people for non-abusive, meme-chat is ridiculous, and power abuse.

Really, what sort of violative interruption of a round is removing the queen and ruinig the game for all of the players? Certainly not worse than hivemind chat.

If you commit a crime with another person, you are equally responsible for all crimes committed by that person during the time of the crime. Don't try a rule lawyer against a staff with more than one person that studies law, please. Us enforcing the rules is not abusing our power, it's doing our jobs.

Also, I replaced you as queen almost immediately, so that argument means pretty much nothing.
