Not that I am aware of. I pretty much only play CM.

Suicided as larva.

I attempted to sneak behind marine lines as larvae by slipping into SD to evolve and attack marines.
I waited for the queen to screech and slipped under the doors, and made it to the rear of SD, but there were doctors all over it so I did a full 180 NOPE back to the front.
The queen and other aliens were still slashing and whatnot but I was hit by a stray bullet just as I almost made it to safety and died.
I was approached by NethIafins about this, and it was concluded that I intentionally suicided.

I know this is a real touchy and serious thing I have done. I just want to let you know that I genuinely love playing this game and would never try to do anything that would harm either side.
I fucked up and I won't try dangerous tactics again, it was silly and I see now why it was stupid to do. I take playing the game seriously and really hope to be able to play xeno again. I am sorry.

This is a very serious thing you done. I know you are a good person on VC, but this is a punishment you deserve. I wouldn't mind seeing it lifted, but it needs to sit for now.

Being the banning admin I'm fine with this being removed in a month.

I was looking at you trying (while being under fire) pushing under their barricades (which were for that moment fully closed)

I don't understand why you decided to break our rules in the last 5 minutes of the round. Especially when you understand that to be evolved into spitter (like you were trying), you have to STAND STILL FOR 5 SECONDS. Noone would let you evolve

I think it would be fine to remove this jobban. I wasn't online at the time, so I can't speak for how accurately your story matches with reality. If what you say is true or at least plausible, then what happened is an understandable situation.

Larva are a precious commodity for xenos, and we don't want people to waste them. Especially because it's possible to respawn every 5 minutes and burn the larva supply. That doesn't sound like what happened here. If you just made a mistake and you realize to be more careful in the future, I see no problem with lifting it. You don't have any related notes about suiciding, and you haven't had any other noteworthy problems over the past month.

As ordukai properly said - we usually don't ban first offence on larva suicide. However every other xeno around you was telling you to get back to safety. You might understand now why I felt it was semi-deliberate

The Larva suicide rule isn't just for grief, it applies to players who run into direct combat for some horrible plan. Larva shouldn't be running into any combat area to try to evolve just to get a kill and then die, that's just nonsensical. Just because the round is coming to a close does not mean that rules no longer apply. We treat things like this the same if you did it at the start of the round or the end of the round.

Is there anything I can do to right this wrong? I had no idea it was even a rule, it's not written down on the rules page or anywhere else. I feel it's a bit unfair to permanently ban me for something that I wouldn't have known. I really really do want to keep playing as aliens and enjoy my time on the server.

Being your past note history isn't too bad, we'll let you have Xeno back but Queen will remain banned for the time being. For at least the next month, you'll be expected to follow all the rules regarding Xeno closely or you're going to be in extra trouble for it. If you don't know if something is possibly against the rules, ahelp about it and someone will tell you if it's fine to do or not. You can apply for the Queen ban in 30 days. Resolved - Xeno (excluding Queen) job-ban lifted; expected to follow Xeno rules following the next 30 days.
